Details

1-My theoretical research is currently focussed in

A-how to works and conduct a research  moving from the inmediacy of culture seen as the life world and intramundane horizont of the researcher life to culture as a correlate of textual forms exploring three ways of research

1.1-hermenéutic and ontology (elucidations, explicitations and interpretations), 2- exegesis and text (readings of pre-texts, texts, textualizations and texts construction) and

3-interpretants and objects to explore (alternancies, intertextuality and comparitions), this incluyes the exegesis of the texts of culture and of culture as text from modern semiotic to linguistic anthropology toward cultural theory research and the relevance of evocatión in the ways to explore the relation between parts and wholes both in writing compositións as well as in the ways to research culture,

therefore it attempt to diffentiate two chains, the derrida one of infinity signicants allow us to the phenomenology text/texeré unveiling ways to research readings of scripturalities and layers,  palimpsests, substrats under surfaces, archaeologies, etc and the chain of endless semiosis (Charles sanders peirce) allow us to culture through world, reality and references toward the metaculture of semiospheres: every day life, imageries, dialects, idiolects, cosmólogies of signs, all this attain new posibilities to solves paradoxes on the relation texts/world/sites

B-how to understand and work with the paradoxes and complexities of the issue inside/outside language to explore and experiment new posibilities between fieldwork, writing and inscription, this theoretical development encompass several issues:

--The unfixing of subject/objects relations in epistemology (performativity of research),

--new ways to sensibly mediates subject and object relations through concepts

--the self inside and outside language, the idealization process creates the fluor of interior subjectivity considered inside and outside language, the relation between being, thought and writing from preexpressive concience-- noetic, noematic and eidetic-- to expresive concience-- wishes to say to writing inscription

--several forms of memory inside and outside language,  the i and the social alterity considered inside and outside language and the relevance of the dialectique evocation/representation, all this attaing new posibilities for self- ethnography and solutions to the issues sites/non sites

2- my empírical research-- see books

- popular urban markets studies/rethinking urban anthropology in empirical spatial fieldwork exploring phenomenology, proxemics and cinesics with hermenéutic in participant observatión and comprehension

- urban studies in general: mass medias and new medias studies, modern cities

- rethinking intertextuality in the sociology of culture fieldwork,  intercultural, transcultural and transnational cultural identity formations

- urban social groups as rockers and punks

- tourism, patrimonies, imageries, restaurations

- semantic elucidations, sociolinguistic, semiotique, studies of material culture and of religions

- coffe montain farmers and religions

Sociocultural anthropology

My concept of socioculturality is mainly strongly defined first from semiotic theory and secound from phenomenological sociology, my concept of cultural anthropology is strongly based under disciplinary semiotic theory and my concept of teaching sociocultural anthropology is a result of a conjunción of both things

All the previouslly approached mean that my purposivenes and profile to teach sociocultural anthropology is not historically oriented in terms of a history of the discipline, but higly theoretically oriented (abstract theory) and personal experience based oriented (my own fieldwork) with as main objectives:

A-to teach students to define, prospect, develop, conduct and conclude concrete sociocultural anthropology research in both senses from the perspective of fieldwork and from the perspective of writing and the relation between both things

B- to give students the posibility of defining their own fieldwork inside my school meaning that my own individual fieldwork offers a variety of rich empirical and practical posibilities for students to defines their research under mine as continuation and legacies and/or as attention on sub areas of their own definition by going through my own fieldwork contacts and relationships
